The Maverick Foundation is a 501c(3) organization that was established in 2002 to empower well-rounded mature young adults who lead by example and have the ability and confidence to envision a future for themselves where their mind, body and spirit reach their full potential by setting and achieving goals and who possess a passion for helping others. We provide incentive based scholarships to graduating eighth graders entering high school who are willing to accept the challenge of the Congressional Award Program. Scholarship recipients are required to achieve the prestigious Gold Medal prior to graduating from high school that requires them to perform 400 hours of community service, 200 hours of personal development, and 200 hours of physical activity. All applicants are encouraged to review the requirements of the Congressional Award at www.congressionalaward.org prior to applying for a scholarship.
